"How Soccer Explains The World", by Franklin Foer, illustrate to us the hooliganism of Serbian soccer, and how it channels the villain named Arkan into shooting squads (gangs) of Serbians massacring the Croatians, and the relationship between the football club Red Star Belgrade and the Serbian paramilitaries who committed cruelty after cruelty against the Bosnians and Croats in the beginning of the collapse of the former Yugoslavia. He then addresses the Protestant-Catholic hate fest that is the Glasgow Derby. Of course, mindful of his audience, he spends more time influencing the Glasgow Rangers and their hatefully bigoted Protestant supporters than he does on the equally unpleasant and bigoted Catholic supporters of Glasgow Celtic. Finally, Foer tells us the bandwagon community (Jew's), had no respect from others not even when playing soccer, and their Jew football history.

I think that the main cause for sport hooliganism is competition and the love for their sport.
ReplyDeletePeople are never able to deal with global problems because the world itself will never unite against anything. To prove this, they have been fighting agaisnt each other since the beginning of time to see which is better.
ReplyDelete"Hooliganism", i think, means to be taking out your anger or doing childish things to get your point across something such as people fighting over someone stepping on someones shoe. It can also be the competition they have created themselves as well.
